Audio problems with MX2?

I've just recently upgraded to nice multimedia speakers and have noticed a clicking noise when no audio is being played. This is volume dependent and increases as the hardware or software volume is increased. I probably didn't notice this before because my speakers were not very good. Anyways, I've ...

Thanks paradigm ...

I'll give it a try. Warning about polarity noted... I'll post the results when I get the system setup. Today's my wife's birthday so prudence dictates that I stay away from the computer for extended goofing around! :)

Hi Henry ... I posted here after checking the manual on the MO main site. The instructions there, if I'm reading them correctly, say to "solder jumper 1" and "remove jumper 2" to power with external power. At least gathering from this forum, the manual is incorrect. Jumper 2 need...

MX2 ... reducing PWM motor noise ...

Would a small capacitor between the fan leads serve to smooth the square wave power delivery to the fan? If so, what value would you use? I was thinking of trying about 100uF and going up from there. This isn't a problem with the small fans I've tested, but the high mass and consequent momemtum of t...

Thanks guys. I was having the same problem with my brand new display. I hate to call it a display because it does so much more! Anyways, maybe consider a real jumper (without solder) in the next revision? That way the process would be more idiot-proof (don't I have a lot of faith in my soldering ski...

GOO's Lian-Li mod is pretty sweet ... I think that's what I was referring to when I was talking about the acrylic mods ... I'm not sure I've got the time to do ... but hey, my computer's always in some sort of transition or other and is never completed anyways :) Can't wait to see what you mean abou...

Hi there! Wow ... that was fast ... So the dual bay inserts with keypad will probably be available soon ... good to know!!! I've not seen one of your inserts, let alone one with a keypad ... Are they paintable? I was planning on using silver-grey vinyl dye to paint all my drives ... CDR/DVDR/media c...

VFD questions ...

I looking to get a display and am in love with the MO VFD's!!! Anyways, I was thinking of the VK-204-25. 1.) What does the efficient power supply and extended temp models offer if this is going to be used in a PC? 2.) Is there a bay insert model (dual drive) that has a built in keypad? I think I saw...
