Yeah, I thought you were supposed to be able to insert the clock on a line and change the custom characters to "BigFonts 4" but I guess not..

Well it's working GREAT now!

It was the cables. I pulled out some bare wire and made my own following the mappings in the manual (I printed all 35 pages of the thing - I love laser printers :D )

The second I started up LCDC it sprang to life and have had no troubles.

Now, how do I get it to do ...

The contrast is set to 55%. I can very clearly see the blinking black square in the upper-left corner.

I just checked the primary cable I had been using - BINGO!! The sucker's NOT a normal serial.. I'll be finding, or maybe for cheapness and pride's sake be making my own.

When I plug my LCD up, the backlight comes on and the black cursor blinks just like it should. I obviously wired the power correctly :D

But whenever I try and send data (either through LCDC, Hypertrm, or any other program) All the display does is "flickers"..

Or at least thats the best I can ...

Heh. Never thought about that -I just got done building my WC setup and put the pump and radiator both at the bottom inside the case - the rad's fan is on the inside pulling in cool air through it and the pump's a 350gph, so I wasn't too worried about it pushing the water up :D.

Ok, this has been driving me nuts..

Every once and awhile, my GLK will take all the letters on the screen and squish them back-to-back instead of having a little tiny space between them like they're supposed to.

This in turn utterly destroys the formatting of lines and such and looks quite nasty ...

You need to use the "Line Alignment" "Non-Skip line" or it will try and draw spaces over it.

I tried that but I might not be doing it right - the graphic I'm trying to use is full screen. (this one)
