Has anyone used momentary switches instead of a keypad? Any design suggestions?

Well, you'll either need to have a keypad matrix behind the buttons to get a good number of them, or you'll be limited to just 5 buttons, with one wire going to the 'row' connector and one to the 'column' connector ...

No it isn't. As I said in my reply, it still happens although I have an LCD screen connected.

The Virtual Display is a bit buggy. I'vefound similar problems with. Mat has admitted to a few problems with it, but can't see where they come from in the code.

I haven't inculded the bit to give you the res, as I don't use this plugin, so don't know exactly what it's ...

Are there jumpers on the LCD that need to be moved in order to change the connection speed?

Upon further investigation, it seems as if a single sheet of paper isn't enough to act as insulation, and may have been causing a couple of keys to short at the same time.

Once I beefed it up a bit more, it seemed to work.

Talk about always checking the obvious things first...

I've been struggling all day trying to build a DIY keypad for my LK204 25 WBV LCD.

I knocked up a sheet of paper with 5 strips of tin foil on, and connected each strip to a column pin.

I then had a second sheet of paper with some holes cut in it to act as the insulation layer.

I only ask because it isn't specifically listed and I don't want to do anything to damage my new screen

If you're using LCDC, then there is an option in there to send commands to the LCD, and one of them is to stop the blinking cursor.

You will probably also need to turn Auto Line Wrap on as well. If it's off, then text looks a bit screwy if you use the large fonts.
