I have actually finally resolved the issue (by pure luck).

I am running the latest LCDC, WinXP, and no, your test software doesn't work (couldn't ever get it to recognize the card - db was outdated).

The problem was that LCDC's software would autodetect the panel just fine but it would assign it ...

I purchased this unit back in July/August (just as the Rev 1 with GPO's) came out. It worked fine for a few days but then started messing up.

LCDC auto detects the card with no problems (Com3 - 19200 baud). It is able to adjust the contrast and send text to the unit as long as you are in the 'test ...
