Ok... I have an A-Bit IT7-MAX2 v2.0 mobo and as we all know it does not have a Serial port in it... Instead it has up to 10 USB 2.0 ports... my question is will the Matrix Orbital BLK202A work with a serial to USB changer... and if it does what do I use as my "COM" ports? Any help will be awesome as I intend to buy this device if it works when converted to USB. Thanks.

USB2serial converters work great. They create a "virtual COM Port" on your computer... so you will have COM1 or COM2 listed all of a sudden... then just select that in your LCD software.
Thanks

I got mine from Radio Shack for about $30, best buy does not carry them. BTW, it works awesome with the converter and chenming case. WOOOOO!

I was looking really hard for some USB -> Serial converters also but wasn't wanting to pay $30 for one.
Here's what I found.
$20

$15

I haven't gotten either yet because I'm still deciding wether I really need one or not.
