I have the MO 204-25.

I connected it to the psu via the floppy power cable splitter adapter.

it got power.

it didnt come with a serial cable or anything, so I went out to futureshop and I bought one that went male to female.

connected it.

I installed port95nt. restarted.

then I installed lcd center.

I tried com 1 and com2 set it to 19200 bps, as the jumper are selected.

do I need to install any other software, I didnt get a cd with the thing.

OK, try some thing more simple. On the CD you got with the LCD, there are several programs, one is called AlphaDemo. Install it and run it. See if you can do something like turn the backlight on and off.
