Has anyone made the VFD's work for FreeBSD? I was working off of ex2.pl's example but the think locks up on initialization.

Ideas?

Well, i'm a space cadet. I had the wrong tty in there. I was looking at my SGI machine and not the BSD machine. DOOH.

Sorry I showed up late to this thread, but yeah, it works good.

MOperl works great for me, butyou can do quick and dirty testing just by reading from/writing to the appropriate serial device.

But I guess you found that out...
