Hello,

I just received GLK12232A-25-SM-USB-TCI-VS-E and GLK12232A-25-SM-USB-GW-VS-E displays,

I made usb to header cables to those.

With usb, there is no life in these displays, nothing happens (no power led etc).
When i connected external power supply, led is on, and display is showing splash screen. But still no connection with usb (raspberry pi does not show new device on lsusb and windows says that cannot enumerate this device).

What is wrong?

Hello jpanu,

Thank you for posting on the forum.

Please try a good known USB cable and connect to a PC to start.
I imagine you tried to make something like this cable:

When you plug in your cable, do you see 5V across C4 (to the left of the USB header)?

Thanks,

Hello JPanu,

My apologies, I was looking at the wrong header.
Yes C14 and C16 are the ones to have voltage when the USB cable is plugged.
Please make sure that you have the D+ and D- connected properly on your cable.

Thank you,

Hello Raquel,

When power is connected through USB header (when caps C14 and C16 shows voltage), the power led is off, and no splashscreen nor backlight is on.
Power led is lit (+splashscreen and backlight) when power supply header is used. Both of these connection options, no communication through usb.

Hello JPanu,

Power via USB is passed through by the host to the GLK12232A-25-USB display only when it has successfully enumerated on the USB bus.
Can you please check if the display enumerates on the bus when you plug it in (check Device Manager)?

Is it possible to email support@matrixorbital.ca with an image of the cable you made?

Thank you,
