I have a BLK202A-4BR.
There are many weird characters showing on the LCD display when the computer boots up!

When I start running LCDC, more and more weird characters show on the LCD.

I get the same problem with running the LCDsmartie.

I tried to reset it by putting a jumper on C5R1. It can not be fixed !!

what is the problem with my MO LCD ??????

anyone can help, please ........
thanks guys !!

It's normal - when windows boots, it does something with the COM ports and spits a whole load of crap down it. These show up on you're display. I get it on my VK-204-25. As soon as LCDC fires up, it cleard the display and away you go.

If your getting weird/wrong characters showing when LCDC is running then it sounds like the baud rate is wrong. Make sure it's set to 19200 and try resetting the LCD module

Do the manual over ride and then try adjusting the contrast...
