Matrix Orbital Corp

I am really interested in buychasing this LCD but I am getting really confused..I see it in some pictures that looks like this..(having the blue backround)

but on the MO site it shows it with a white backround and blue text...Is the contrast just turned all the way down or something?
What does this really look like?

It all depends on the light you are in and so on... it is a white backlight but it can look blue...

here is a more accurate image of that pertictular lcd..

Although the backround is not blue....I still am really considering buying it..It looks really sharp! The only other thing I am worried about is that I am currently running in Linux 90% of the time..Are most LCD programs compatable with linux?
