Crazy mod idea...

Okay... I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get an LED backlight in blue for the NK204-V that I bought a while back... this probably voided the warranty, but I took off the LCD, and then removed the diffuser on top of the LED backlight (thinking I could just replace the LEDs)... then I came to a problem... there are like 50 LEDs in there, and each of them is smaller than a square millimeter... so... I can either ghetto rig my own lighting device... or try to find an LED backlight that fits my LCD and is blue... any help would be appreciated... thank you

You could try to put in EL lighting instead. They're available in blue (and also other colors.

Doing anything to the NK204 other then inverting it will be very hard! The main problem is the glass is green and changing that is almost impossible... but an EL backlight and a green glass will look bluish green

Alright... where can I get some blue EL backlighting stuff? (somewhere in the US would be preferable)

Google would be the easiest way... (I'm personaly not sure) and I'm sure other people will post some more leads

well... first of all... thanks for the link... but then again... HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!... I'm not looking to spend like $50 for backlighting... i can ghetto rig LEDs for like $3... but EL would be better... anyone know of a place that has it for like $5? Thanks.

Try Wallmart, AutoZone, or Pepboys in the automotive section.
