Okay I have connected up my new LCD but it doesn't want to display anything, I've made sure the com port is running at 19200 and I've reset the module, but when I start the display with LCDC you can see what it should display on the virtual screen on my monitor but the display just shows the splash screen and sort of vaguely pulses slightly without actually changing, any ideas????

I have the same problem with my new
LK202-25-R-V . Exactly the same as you. I've tried EVERYTHING i can think of , read every tutorial and i just can't crack it , i've even tried using HyperTerminal but that won't display anything on it either. I'm sure the set isn't defect and theres just some really newbie issue that i have missed! could all you 'pros' out there please advise me and wintermute here on what to do . Thanks

Yeah come on Henry I've tried the manual reset but the display still just vaguely pulses, and I know its on the right com port as it doesn't pulse when connected to anything else

Hi.

Have you checked that you're using a straight serial-cable and not a nullmodem-cable?

My bad

I checked the cable and it was null-modem so I re-wired it to straight serial and everything works flawlessly, this is one sweet display thank you Matrix Orbital

1. make sure you are using a straigh serial cable, NOT null modem

2. Make sure no other programs that might use the serial port are running

3. test with software like Alpha Demo

4. if you still are having problems, do a manual over ride (see manual) and try it again
