Hello there..
Im thinking about buying a VFD2041 (blue), which will be my first display..
I wanna ask if the text on the display is viewable in normal light ? Can i see the text, 3 meters away in normal daylight ?

No problems with my MO VK-204-25, or my self made parallel 2X20.
I can see mine across the room, and neither has a 'special' filter - just blue gel sheet to give blue characters.

First of all - thanx for the snappy answer..
I'll stop worry then, and will be buying this unit soon.. One last thng, is it easy to install one of those "email" LED's ? So when the pop3 got a message, then it would light..

Yep - wire up an LED to one of the GPO's.
Get a copy OF LCDC from
http://lcdc.planetdps.com/, and follow the instructions on POP3 checking. I believe you need to set up an event to get the GPO to strobe when the check says there's mail, making the LED blink.
