GLK12232-25-WBL (rev2.0) problem communicating with device

Post by datura3 »

This device is connected using the supplied cables for serial connection and floppy power. I can't seem to communicate with the device using MOGd, MOGD#, Uproject, or LCDC. It appears it is sending commands but the LCDC screen only displays the default "graphics in any direction" screen.

For example, I'm when moving the brightness slider in Uproject it flashes but never actually sets the brightness. When testing out bar graphs you can see it transmitting, but never recieving.

What's wrong?

Hello datura3,

Thanks for your post.

I wonder about the supplied cable that you mentioned on your post. Is it this one?

Thanks,

No it is not. It is this one. The power is connected using regular floppy cable power adapter.

Hello datura3,

I would like for you to please try out a null modem cable instead of a straight-thru serial cable. I have a feeling that the RX/TX lines are swapped.

Please let me know how it turns out.

Thanks,

You were right! I checked the pin assignments and they were switched. It's bizzare that it was switched and hence I didn't even think of checking that! Thanks again. It's working beautifully now.
