Hi,

I have an older LK204-25PC which still works great. The new system I built that I want to put it in does not have a serial port. Before I spend money on adapters or cards, I wanted to ask if a USB to Serial (DB9) adapter work?

If so, does MO have any product recomendations or know of particular adapters that have been proved to work?

THanks

Hello DickNervous.

Thanks for your post.

I am glad to hear that you are still enjoying your display after quite some time (the LK204-25PC is one of our first modules).

Yes, USB to serial cable adapters will work with your display. You can get any brand you want from any computer store. Make sure you have the adapter working before connecting it to the display. Those cables can get pretty tricky with their drivers and trying to get them to work.

Best Regards,

Thanks!

I picked up a Rosewill adapter, vista loaded the drivers automatically, and I ma not configuring LCDC. It worked flawlessly.

I love this LCD and once I get everything setup again it will control all the lighting in the new (now the 4th) PC it is in.
