MX610 screen burn in?

Hi everyone, I wsa wondering if burn in was normal, and/or covered by the warranty. I purchased a mx610 around mid february. At first it seemed that a couple vertical rows of pixels were darker than the others, but since it was a relatively uniform block, and was only really noticeable when lots of pixels were illuminated (say having the mx610 dispay a music equaliser, or the winamp visualization pugin) I thought nothing of it. At that time I was running it on my old system, however early march I built a new system running windows vista x64, and thus had the unsigned driver problem. So during that time, since I didn't feel like loading unsigned drivers each boot, I left it be, but plugged in. This resulted in it simply displaying the matrix orbital logo for a significant portion of time. Once I learned that signed drivers were out however, much to my dismay upon configuration, I discovered that the pixels which had been illuminated by the logo were now also darker than the rest. Meaning that if I light up all of both lines, you can make out a faint negative version of the logo. given that the pixels it used are now darker than the rest.
I can post pictures if it would be helpful to understand what's going on. My question then becomes, if the lifetime of each pixel supposed to be this short? If so i assume this burnin is normal.. still I would have thought they could last more than a month while retaining their brightness....
If not, would this issue qualify for an rma for a replacement?
Thank you for your time.
