I would like to, but do not know how to (using possibly the VK202-24-USB:

Currently replacing a VL system VFD in a case front:
I would like to get system infomration: CPU, email, personalized messages, time... Control fans based on temperature probe readings and/or manually set fan speeds.

I have looked and looked for a more simplied manual. My main concern is how to hook fans to the board for them to be controlled. All I can gather is to attach them to the GPO's. I would like to control 3-4 fans.

Please advise.

Ok, well anyways you've come to the right place. (I'll try not to be so slow next time you have any questions). But all you need to do in order to start fan controlling is to connect the fans to the only connectors on the board that fits them... it's kinda like a puzzle, just search for the row of white connectors with three pins and if the fan connector fits on them you've got yourself a winner.

As for the software, you'll probably want to use LCDC. You can download a preview of LCDC right now and then just unlock it when you get your display. This will give you a bit of a chance to look at it's features. LCDC has an online manual and forums up there too, so that should help you get started.
