OK, im buyilding myself an audio unit for my shop. It consists of an alpine tape deck, a Citech dvd player and a few speakers. The dvd player is strictly for cd/mp3 capability and the deck ios for amplification, output and radio. This is all powered by an LPX power supply. Now, my dilemma is that this specific dvd player (which I got for free) doesnt have a front face LCD for information. So, i was wondering if it'd be possible to somehow rig up an lcd to this unit so I can have front LCD display for the cd/mp3 information. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Adasm,
Sorry, i don't think we could do this. Doing after market modifications to cheap hardware is rarely if ever possible.
My only suggestion would be to create a new dvd player from scratch. This would require you to grab a laptop DVD-ROM and a mini-ITX motherboard, then create your own DVD player using our LCD. If you did it this way you'd be able to read DVD's, CDs, Mpegs, MP3s... and the list goes on.

Thanx for the reply. I would like to sink more time and effort into this project for this reason, but I didnt think it would be easy to do. So, i'll just rig up this cheap one for now and consider your mentioned option for the future, thanx.
