LK202-25-WB wrong download

Hello All,

I am new to the lcd world.

I got my first lcd today and already screwed it up.
Using the Matrix Orbital Graphics Display Software, I was able to connect and send text down to it. I went to the Drawing tool and drew a box, then sent it down to it.
Now the unit will boot with the boot screen and as soon as I try to download text to it I get a scrambled mess.

Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks in advance...

Hello rbelanger,

Thank you for your post.

The application mogd is intended for graphical displays, where you have the option of downloading different fonts and bitmaps to the display. Unfortunately, you have an alphanumeric display (LK202-25-WB).

Instead of modg, you will want to use uProject, you can get it here:
http://www.matrixorbital.ca/software/so ... /uproject/

I would like to give you a head's up though, Baudrate changes using uProject's Main tab, does not work if your module is PCB 3.0. Please let me know so I can direct you as to how to do that.

Thank you,

I tried the UProject software however the display is still unresponsive, it shows the login screen and then a little symbol repeated across the screen. Is there a way to set it back to factory defaults?

in order to return it to the factory defaults, please see the instructions in the manual here. Simply put it will require you to place a jumper on the middle keypad pins when you power up the unit.
