Hi Guys,

I have a LCD 2041-WB-V (wide voltage) screen that im wondering if there was a USB cable hack possible for the powering of the device.

ATM i have a floppy connector modified for wide voltage, but to be honest have never used the LCD (in 2 years) because of power hookup length.

Anyone able to rule it out, or point me in the direction of somewhere to make my own (for wide voltage!)

Thanks in advance.

USB only can provide +5V, and the specification for that display is +9V to +15V input. Unfortunately there is no way to power that particular display off the USB port unless you want to build a DC/DC converter to boost the +5 upto something within the specified range.

Thankyou for your reply Paradigm.

I figured this may be the case, but sure didnt hurt to ask!

As always your Matrix Orbital's support via their forum is one thing that outlines one important reason to buy from Matrix Orbital.

Once again, much appreciated.
