MX212 Text is not "centered"

Hello,
I recently aquired an MX212 for a case mod. It is a used unit that I have seen working before. When installed in my computer, all text is phased to the right by 4 characters. Also, graphical icons (like the Windows representation that comes default) are just vertical lines.
This unit was powered down, disconnected and given to me. I have installed the USB drivers from your web site (not the cd), and the LCDC software. Windows detected the unit without problems.
System specs: Win XP sp2, on Asus A8N SLi Deluxe board, connected internally.
EDIT: NOw all it display is garbage. I tried using the tune program and nothing.
EDIT: Problem solved. The tune program worked, what wasn't was LCDC. I ditched it and installed LCDSmartie, not as nice, but it does the job.
