ive got a couple of questions. first, is the LK204-25PC Limited edition the only lcd that you could hook a fan up to? second, is it possible to write a java program to control these fans, which would also get input from a temperature sensor

yes and no. All lcd with GPOs can do it, but the LK204-25-PC is the only one that you do not need to add a transistor, mosfet or relay to to make it work.

I just uploaded a java programing example... no one has done full software for it yet though.

i looked at that example, but it only shows how to code using the keypad inputs. I need to know how to i can control the gpos from the program. if thats too difficult or time consuming, i remember seeing a pascal thing on this site somewhere, so is it possible to write a pascal program to control the gpos?
ive looked at the fan program you had, and im going to make one that in effect does the same thing, put to make it interesting im going to use a fuzzy controller to keep my computer in an acceptable range

let me try to fix what i just tried to say: I want to write a program in java or pascal which only has to be able to turn on and off the gpos, and display a message like "GPO 1 shut off" or "GPO 1 turned on". thanks for any help

It's simple, you take that little piece of Java and add in the GPO commands.

i must be dumb or something, but i see in the code how you can change messages on it, but i have no idea of how you control the power to the gpo, is that in there somewhere, or do i have to figure that out myself

Well, there is a number of commands in the code, all you have to do is add more.
