Windows can't find MX530

Hello,

I am having trouble with my display, mine is a MX530. I've owned an MX2 series before, and i've had the same problem with both! i have an ASUS A8N-SLi Deluxe motherboard. My display is plugged in and the USB cable is fed out the back of the case and plugged into a free USB slot. I've plugged a mouse into that USB slot to ensure the USB is working correctly.

The display is not recognised by windows and it has no power. This also happened with my MX2 display, and to fix that I used a different USB cable other than the supplied one, and that did the trick. I WOULD try a floppy cable, but after hearing on these forums that one guys screen caught fire, i'd rather not do that right now.

What should I do?
