I just got myself on of those switches w/ a led that lights up when its in the on position. This switch has three connectors one is for 12v power, ground, and last one is source. How do I safely hook this up to my MX2 LCD without accidentally frying the unit?

Hi armax1980,

Thank you for posting.

Why would you want to connect a switch to the GPO? The GPO is a switch controlled by software.

ack, looks like I should have wrote my message a little clearer. I wasn't talking about the GPO. I'm trying to hook up a couple of switches to act as a keypad b/c I got the MX2 LCD with the aluminum faceplate.Plus, the switches I got have one of those built-in leds that light up when the switch is in the on position.

armax1980,

The picture below gives you a general idea on how to connect a switches for keypads. There should be a small schematic on the side of the switch telling you how to hook up the led. You might need to do a little wiring to be able to get the led to turn on.
