Is there any possibility, in future versions, of setting multiple variables for a single GPO?
i.e. multiple temps, self-controlled PS RPM, and application trigger
Hypothetical setup:
A64 with XP-120, 120mm fan with duct to outside air, serves as case intake (BTX style)
Seasonic S-12 PS with 120mm self controlled, RPM output, no external control
Passive cooler on video card, temp monitored
Additional exhaust vents near video card
I would need to monitor several temps, and PS RPM to ensure the CPU/Intake is spinning at the optimal level.
Lacking multiple variables, I would need to hack the PS to control the fan externally.
Thanks
GPO Variables
Hi,
The chances of having multiple control on a single GPO is slim. The GPOs are hooked up to a I/O port on the microcontroller which only turns on or off. The PWM works by turning the GPO on and off at a certain rate. I will let engineering know about this idea, but I am not making any promises.
Measuring temperature on a single port is possible though. The input for the dallas one wire uses a different protocol, you are able to connect many devices on the same bus. The microcontroller is able to distinguish between different probes because each probe has it's own specific id.
Any other suggestions will be considered and taken seriously because we are always trying to improve our products.
If you have anymore questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
Best Regards,
