Hi daz,

Thank you for posting on the forums.

What you can do to reduce the strobing leds on the fan is to increase the frequency of the GPO. You can use a program called "BootEdit". Boot edit will be in the ecd that came with your display. To change the frequeency on boot edit you must go to the "Power-On Defaults" section, and it will be under "Edit GPO Defaults"->"Freq". You should use a minimum of 76.3Hz for the frequency.

If you have anymore questions or concerns, please feel free to post.

Best Regards,
:D

Just to add on a little: The LEDs in a fan that shine on the blades are VERY noticable when it comes to using PWM to the fan. Normally the LEDs would be stationary and they would just increase or decrease in brightness, the flicker would be too fast for the human eye. However since they shine on a fan blade which is moving at comparable speeds to the flicker, it becomes noticable.

From experience here though, we could choose PWM speeds that would cause cool looking patterns to form in the fan blades 8)
