MX 2 temp range and sensor???

I have few questions that I really hope I can get some answers on.

1. What is the temp range that the MX2 series can read?

2. Where can I find a temp sensor that is longer than 2.5 feet?

3. Can I use a thermal type "T" probe for the temp sensor on the MX2?

IF anyone is wondering I am wanting to monitor my custom Phase Change units sub zero temps through the MX2.

Hi Alphamale,

Thank you for posting at the forum.

1. The range for the provided temperature probes is -55C to +125C (-67F to +257F). The range for reading temperature strictly depends on the probe.

2. You can get the temperature probe from us, and extend the cables. The length depends on three factors. The type of cable used, shielding and termination. We do not provide any termination on our end, just a simplified driver.

You wouldn't be able to find prewired temperature probes. We get our probes prewired as a special order from our cable manufacturers. The temperature probes we carry can be found at http://www.matrixorbital.com/product_in ... an-cooling .

3. You won't be able to use a "T" type thermocouple for the temperature probe input. The "T" type thermocouple is an analogue output device. We strictly use dallas one wire protocol, which is strictly digital.

I hope this clarifies things. If you have anymore questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Best Regards, :D
