Well, I want to try to get the PK162-12 PLED display to be under 2CM in thinkness. I'm trying to find a display that will be portable enough for the mp3 player I am making... (I don't have the LCD yet).


I'd like to be able to remove the three connectors on the back of the board, if possible:

1. DB9 serial connector
2. 2x12 Berg strip
3. 4 pin berg floppy power connector

I don't need I2C or Keypad inputs...I just need to be able to solder the serial and power wires onto the LCD.

I have tried looking elsewhere, but most people do not have these displays in stock..

To double check the size of the unit you can refer to page 37 on the manual at http://www.matrixorbital.com/files/PK162-12.pdf .
