Henry...I have a question. I finally got around to really putting stuff up on the LED (tie, date, scrooling, etc) I noticed something, part of one of the LED blocks is a bit dimmer than the rest of the block, is this a bad block? It looks like the outside row of one of the blocks. 3rd from the right, 2nd row down, right outside row. Did I get one with a glitch?
Rest looks good, but you know how you always see that one scratch on your own car?

I dont have a decent camera to take a pic but it seems to be like 1/2 the darkness of the rest of the cells. Is this just a common occurance? You get XX# of bad cells per LCD?

It does sound like you may have a problem with your LCD. Is there any chance you took off the LCD bracket and removed the actual LCD panel from the circutry? If so, it is possible some of the contacts became dirty, and what you have sounds very much like that is the case.
