I have te GLK12232-25-SM (well two of them), i accidently plugged in the power suppy to the rsr232 spot. Now when it starts up it shows a blank screen. Please tell me this lcd is not junk, is there a specific resistor or something simple i can replace?

Hi,
Does your power supply still work properly?

my power supply on the computer is ok, just when i turn on the lcd, the boot screen is no longer there. I was just curisous if something like this would mess up the lcd, (and if there was anything i could do to fix, like replace a component). I haven't gotten around to testing yet, cause i can't figure out how to wire it. I figured plugging in power from the computer to the rs232 port on the lcd, would ruin the lcd

There is a good possibility that you damaged the display. Lets try to see if you can communicate to the display first. I have replied to your other thread about the wiring at
http://www.lcdforums.com/forums/viewtop ... 3594#13594 .
Start by trying to turn on and off the backlight.
