Questions about Dremel tools moding your case.
Just wondering what Dremel tools you use to cut your case with? I want to make a place for my MX4. Looking in the gallery everyone used a Dremel to cut with. How do you get everything so stright and accurate?
ah, a new Dremel purchaser. You should Google up on some Mod Guides, how-tos and such.
Some basic tips:
Use the Fiberglass Reinforced cutoff wheels. They are flexible, narrow, and resist wear much better than the hard stone-type cutting disks.
Cover the area around the work with Masking tape. This serves to prevent accidental scratches, and allows you draw on your surface without leaving permanent lines.
Cut INSIDE the line, but very close. I prefer to file up to it, rather than cut too much. There is much post-cut work, so take your time, and do it right.
Measure twice, then measure 2X again, then consider measuring again, then cut ONCE.
Good luck, we all feared out first cutting!

no problem at all...you guys at MO are all so helpful, I figured I can chime in with some modding pointers.
just for reference, even though most of the nicks I see here are there too...have a read over at:

Another idea would be a jigsaw, a little rougher cut, but straighter
I just used a dremel to slice up my drive bay for my praetorian to fit my MX211, I cut to within a few millimeters of the line and then filed it the rest of the way.
