VK202-24-USB Power up problems...

I recently purchased the VK202-24-USB (Rev 1.4). I am using the fan headers, so I remove jumper 2 and connected a floppy cable power input. Everything works fine except when I shut my computer of for a while (power down or standby), then when I start it up the LCD dosen't seem to power up. The only way I can get it to respond is by disconnecting the floppy power cord and reconnecting it. If I do a reboot or power down for a short period of time it seams to work fine.

Any ideas?

I've installed the latest USB drivers so I don't think that's it. Infact unpluging then pluging in USB cable doesn't seam to make a difference at all.

My serial number is: 04M12-575

Thanks for you help!

Jay

Hi Jay,

Try using another USB port. You can also try uninstalling the drivers from the registry, and reinstalling the drivers. The link for the location of the registries can be found at http://www.lcdforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1016.

I hope these suggestions work for you.

Best Regards,

Hi Tom,

Well, I tried your suggestions but with no luck. I unistalled the LCD driver, removed the registry enteries, and tried another USB port. I even tried connecting to the LCD using the normal USB port instead of the alt. one, nothing... Any other ideas?

I really don't think it's the USB connection or drivers that is the problem. This morning I disconnected the USB all together thinking that when I powered up my pc I would at least see the startup screen, again nothing. The only way I can get the LCD to work is to unplug the power and plug it back in. The display then works fine till I power down the pc.

Thanks,
Jay
