Got to love blue

Beautiful color and cool mod! I like the idea of using the GPO to alert you when new mail arrives...

It's great... I walked into my room and it's this nice blue color

E-mail time.. hehehe... As well, with LCDstats or LCD Smartie you can have the GPO activate a buzzer or lights if you case gets too hot... and so on and so on... the possibilities are limit less..
There will be a article coming up soon (from the fine people at icehardware.net)on how to make the low power GPOs High power, so you can power just about anything...

I'm assuming using some NPN transistors or MOSFETs and if you want to drive REALLY high loads, use a transistor to switch on a relay (for AC appliances, etc.)... right?

Is it ok to forgo the extra stuff on the gpo (relay, etc) when just connecting up a LED? What voltage LED for attaching to the LK204-25-PC?
Is there a rule like "If connecting Fans, this, and that, use the relay. When using LEDs, this , that then they can run solo."???
