GPO On/Off question

When a GPO turns on and off, does the unit turn off both the positive and negative leads to the GPO? I need to know because I am working with transistors and want to know if i should use NPN or PNP transistors...I need to boost the power of my GPO outputs

When the GPO turns off the negative terminal is floating. The positive terminal is always connected to +5V. Can you tell me your model number, so I can double check?

What do you mean the negative is "floating"

Are you refering to the high power or low power GPO?

When the GPO is turned off you will get 0V on the output.
