What does LED, CCFL etc. means in the selection LCD according to layman point of view. Does any body refer any application note which differentiate these options in details.

The biggest difference between the two backlights are that an LED is an Light Emitting Diode and the CCFL is a Cold Flourescent Lamp. Really two different types of backlighting technology. Let me know if you need any further specifics!!
