HELP!!! I just blew up my display

I reversed the polarity on my VK202-25 VFD Display, and a component on the back blew up. Its yellow, and is in-line with the power connector, on the upper edge of the circuit board. Any idea what it is? Is it fixable? If so, how?

I miss my display, it was part of a VCR computer mod.

Thanks,
Sam

Ouch. Well that is a polarized capacitor. They really don't like having the wrong voltage on them. But other things could be dead too (just not showing it). You had better contact Miles at myero@matrixorbital.ca for RMA options. Unfortunately he's feeling a little under the weather and is not in the office today, but I'm sure he'll get back to you as soon as he gets back.

Believe it or not, the display still turns on...but the burnt part sparks a little. Oh well...i still have to get it fixed.

Please, try not to apply power to the module as you may damage it further! I have sent you an email this morning!! :D
