Python anyone?

I'm in the middle of writing an mp3-player app that uses a 24064-25 for a UI. I'm using python, which for those of you who don't know, is IMHO the grooviest programming language ever. (I've tried a lot of them.) Is there anyone else out there using python with matrix orbital? Is there any interest in pooling efforts on an open-source library or something? I've written the obligatory OO-wrapper class already of course, but some higher-level abstractions would be nice... an encoder for bitmap/font data, or something vaguely ncurses-ish perhaps. Anyone?
