Okay - I've got this LCD module here that I just got. Now the cable that came with it indicates a 12v but I don't think it is the wide voltage option. Can someone confirm this.

At first it would come up with white box's in every character place and now its just the backlight that shows up. It also first detected by lcdc but now its not showing up at all.

Any ideas or is it toast

The unit you received does not have the "wide voltage" option (7-12Volt). However the cable you received is for the 12 Volt module. Can you email me at myero@matrixorbital.ca your oder information and I'll look into it for you.
