Where is the development of LCD-panels heading, serial or parallell? I just got a 4*20 parallell 44780-panel hooked up, and I am considering buying a 4*40, but then the question is, should I get a serial or parallell? I know MO is basically serial, but what is you guys' professional opinion?

Interesting question. I'm pretty enamored of
these, just not quite enough to cough up the $300. Mainly because you can buy an entire PC for $300, so this is pushing the envelope pricewise.
For embedded applications, I'd jump on one of those though.

I would say serial ownz parallell because most mainboards have only 1 parallell-port, and that's to attach a printer to the PC (well in most cases), there are mostly 2 serial ports however so you won't be having that much troubles with a serial than with a parallel
