Hi guys,

I recently fitted my lovely brand new MX202 only to find that now my machine will not shutdown. When I choose Shutdown or Restart it gets to the screen saying "Windows is saving your settings....." and thats it! I have to power it down my holding the power button for 5 seconds.

I am running the latest USB drivers. Any ideas PLEASE?! And before you ask, everything runns fine and I have no conflicts in Device Manager.

Many Thanks

Merc :D

I think I've just sussed the problem. I recently replaced the bios battery and just assumed my bios was intelligent enough to reconfigure itself to optimal settings (how wrong was I?). Basically when I enabled the HDD S.M.A.R.T settings it's now working fine.... just coincidence it started after fitting the MO unit.

Thanks anyway
