Which faceplate design is better?

I'm going to machine a custom aluminum faceplate for my MX4 but I'm stuck as to which design to go with, what do you guys think?

Just for some controversy I like the second one. The round buttons off set the rectangle of the viewing area of the display. It gives the look a little more appeal in my opinion
