Hello there i have a problem i have the LK204-24-USB-WB and i want to connect fans on it. the problem is power to the fans, lets explain.

on the back there 4 fan heders below that there is a jumper (default on hp)
below that is the ecternal power conector to put on a 5V modded floppy cable as 12V is a :nono: as your display will never work again (i know :D )
well when i connect a fan on 1 of the fan hedders well nothing happends  when i switch the jumper the fan is its doing somthing :jawdrop: but it turns way to slow  now when i connect the 5V modded floppy cable well it doesnt mather as the fan is going faster and when i put the jumper back the fan stops working at all.

Note : the fans i use are 80mm cooler master blue light and the light isnt working at all.
note2 : i also use Coolermate CMT-ALF-8BL and with this fan the light does work but not enough rpm's

Hello...

What you should actually be connecting to the white power connector is an unmodified floppy power cable. The color orientation is red/black/black/yellow.
For the fans to run at top performance you must have the jumper in the "HP" selection. This will enable the 12 Volt rail from your power connection. When the jumper is moved over one position, your enabling the 5 Volt rail. For further information please refer to the manual or feel free to post! :)

No Problem...!!!

1) Praobably the easiest way to do this would be for you to email me and I'll send you a software program that will re-initialize your memory chip file. Included in this file, the high powered GPO's will be turned on at start up!! This will change your module to factory default settings. My email addy is myero@matrixorbital.ca

2) Each high powered GPO can handle up to 1 Amp of current. Check the current ratings of your fans...
