baud rate reset problem

Hello. I'm having a problem trying to reset the baud rate on my GK24065-26 unit (Rev. 1.3). I reset it by using a jumper across pins 5 and 6 on the keypad connector and then powering the unit on. I then removed the jumper and powered down the unit. Then I power it back up and test it and I still get jibberish like when the baud rate is set incorrectly.

Hello...

When performing the manual override, leave the jumper on pins 5 and 6 after power has been applied. Now try communicating at 19200 baud without powering the unit down. The idea is that on power up, our firmware will recognize the "manual override" and set the baud rate to 19200. So by you powering the unit off/on again without the jumper is not accomplishing anything. Let us know how you make out...!

still not working.

a bit more information. When the unit stopped responding, it stopped right after I sent a command that was more or less invalid. The program that I wrote to communicate with the unit had a bug that did not interpret 0x20 as a hex number and instead sent decimal 20 to the unit instead. This was for the command to change the baud rate (I was trying to change the baud to 9600.)

Did you try what I previously explained? The reason for the manual override is for instances such as these...!

I put a jumper on pins 5 and 6 of the keypad connector and powered up the unit. I then proceeded to attempt to communicate with the unit at a baud rate of 19,200 and have not had any luck communicating with the unit.

When I power up the unit and then start mogd.exe, I get an arrow pointing to the right. This is also the case when I change the baud rate in mogd.exe.
