Power for the Indicator LED Bus?

I have been using my LK202-24-USB display and the LCDC software interface for over a month now. Everything is working great!

I just purchased the Indicator LED Bus and connected the provided ribbon cable connectors as described in the instruction sheet. I also set-up three events as you described in the forum. The LEDs do not power on for these events or in response to the test commands from LCDC.

The instructions appear to suggest that the ribbon cable is providing power to the Indicator circuit. Am I missing something?

Do I have to provide independent power to the Indicator circuit +5V pins on the Indicator board; or do I have to put a jumper on the Low-Power GPO on the LCD circuit board?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Hello...

On the PCB there will be a revision number...can you tell me what revision your PCB is...?

The LK202-24-USB Rev. is 1.4

When I took everything apart to get at the revision number, I tried reversing the ribbon cable on the LED Bus. This did not work so I returned it to the original position, and the LEDs powered on.

The LEDs now respond to various tests. So, I don't know why, but I think I'm all set.

Thanks Miles for your reply.

I'm having the same exact problems with my LK202-24-USB (MX 213 - red on red LCD) - except when I did what he did, I can't seem to get the LED's to light up for any events.

Also my LED board is different than the one in the How To Install Guide (http://www.lcdforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1387). On the LED board where the Gnd +5v is at, there are holes with no pegs (unless installing them is a DIY job).

At any rate, I have mine connected just like in the pics.

Also, my LCD screen is connected via the 3ft USB A to B USB Cable to a Belkin 5-port USB PCI Card (4 ports external, 1 internal).

If you need to know my board's revision, please let me know.

Any help is much appreciated!

Would it be possible for you to send me a pic of the PCB and how you have it connected to the indicator bus at myero@matrixorbital.ca
