GLK-12232-25SM Cannot change baud rate
Posted: Mon Feb 02, 2004 7:26 pm
I cannot seem to change the default baud rate on my display from 19200.
When I use MOGD, and on the MAIN tab, at Set Comm. Speed, I select anything other than 19200, I believe the baud rate of the display does not change.
I know this because if I select "9600" for example, and make sure that the "Settings" in MOGD are also at 9600, it does not respond to MOGD commands. But if I then select "19200" in the "Settings" menu of MOGD, I can then control the display normally.
Tried all of the speed settings, only 19200 works.
There is no jumper on pins 5-6 of the keypad connection, BTW.
There is a piece of software that must connect to the display at 115200 to work properly, and I cannot use it until I get this fixed.
I'm not sure if this is related or not, but in Hyperterminal, the display will show any characters I type, but if I try a command (using the ALT-Keypad trick) it ignores the command. For example, if I type ALT-254 ALT-70 I get an "F" on the screen rather than the backlight turning off. I'm sure this is a separate issue as I can turn the backlight on and off in MOGD by checking and unchecking the "backlight" selection on the MAIN tab, but I'd like to guess I'd also like to know what I'm doing wrong with Hyperterm as well...
HELP!!!
