i think my lcd just went poof, it was working fine , i woke up today and on the screen was a bunch of messed up charaters, the blacklight is gone , ive tried unplugging the usb cable from it and no luck same thing , also i tried uninstalling lcdc and reinstalling and now lcdc wont detect a screen plugged into my computer. i ddint have a keypad plugged into it , or have i tried any leds or anything like that , i just pluged it in and ran the lcdc software and that was it, i dont know what else to try with it
any help would be grealty helpful hehe

update, i done the manual reset with the 6 and 7 pin jumper and it works fine again, but when i upplug and put the jumper back on the hp it goes out again? but if i leave the pin off it seems to work fine , or has for the past 20min
does it hurt to leave the jumper off?

Hello...
What the jumper on pins 6 and 7 actually does is set the baud rate to default, which is 19200 baud. To check this against a faulty memory chip you must perform the manual override and get the unit working as you did. Now unplug the USB cable and power it on again without the jumper and if the unit worked then the baud rate just got messed up, if it doesn't work, then you can contact me at
