I'm having problem with advanced GPOs, I tested the three GPOs getting same results (I'm Using LCDC 1.05.27) :

Fan speed don't changes when I increase or decrease PWM values, RPMs are always the same, also when I reach 0% PWM , fan continues working @ the same speed.

I tested the same LCDC config and the same fans with another screen (LK204-USB) and all works OK.

I have similar problem at my MX200 (rev. 1.4):

The first (number 1) High power GPO is not (by my opinion) working properly. Whatever I do with the GPO setings in LCDC, the GPO-1 is allways in "On" state. This was my course measurement at GPO-1, jumper was on HP:

> +12V < & > GND <
System si powered up and BIOS is loaded ...... 12.11V - 12.14V
OS loading ................................................... 12.11V - 12.14V
OS loading - USBs up .................................... 12.02V - 12.03V
OS running, LCDC running (start display) ....... 12.02V - 12.03V

> RPM < & > GND <
I can't remeber when i make this measurement ..... 4.75V (must be 0V I think)

I don't make current measurement, but there is very little Ic because even small fans run at very low operating speeds and they actually don't start running when the system is powered up or I stop the prop with finger. GPO-2 and GPO-3 are working as expected. No problem with the GPO-4 ... GPO-6 too. The unit is working very good at all, and for now I think it meet my expectations well.

And I've done a little test.
This was my LCDC settings:

------------------------------------
Events:

Name: GPO-(1-3) HP FAN-(1-3) Test
Event: Sys->On Keypad Press
Keypad: R
Action: Gpo->Toggle (On/Off)
Gpo Number: 1.FAN-(1-3)
------------------------------------

------------------------------------
Configure/Test:

GPO number: 1.FAN-(1-3)
Report RPM: checked
Divider: 1
Advanced control: None
------------------------------------

FANS are:
1. Titan TDF-6020L12C 12V/0.16A
2. Intel Box Sanyo Denki DC12V/0.06A
3. Titan TFD-9225L12C 12V/0.10A

Results are:
-#- Intel Box Sanyo Denki ran on GPO2 and GPO3 properly and on GPO1 ran always, by pressing keypad it ran little more, but not significantli.

-#- Titan TDF-6020L12C ran not on GPO1, only when I push the prop by finger even when the keypad was pressed, when pushed - by pressing keypad it ran little more, but not significantli.
On GPO2 and GPO3 it ran OK.

-#- Titan TFD-9225L12C ran not on GPO1, only when I push the prop by finger even when the keypad was pressed, when pushed - by pressing keypad it ran little more, but not significantli. On GPO3 it ran 2,00 sec exact (I measure it) and then stoped. On GPO2 it run as expected.

It seems to me, I have one good HP GPO from three. ;(

I've done the jumper 2 conection by soldering it, but with no results.

I'm awaiting response from M.O.H.Q.

Try this program here for testing the Fan Headers

As for the VK202-24-USB having GPO problems... yup, it's official, they do (well did)... we will replace anyones VK202-24-USB that has this issue, but the LK202-24-USB were not affected.

For the LK202-24-USB look at this topic here:

Do the VK204-24-usb's also have the GPO issue?

If the vk202-24-usb's have some design issue with the GPO's, do the vk204-24-usb's also have this GPO issue possibly?

I have not had a chance to try the outputs yet, but want to check to see if I should test them now to see if the the same issue affects the 4 row VFD as the 2 row VFD.

Is there any way to know from the serial number which might be affected or is it just hit and miss?
