I'm very interested in the BLC2041 series of displays. I want a 20x4 display but didn't see any that are already made into a PC bay insert that support USB. What if any are the advantages between using a USB connection compared to a serial connection? Will there be a VK204-24-USB PC bay version soon? I like the MX2 series but I want a 20x4 display. Any advice would be welcome, thanks.

Hello...

We are currently in the process of developing a VK204-24-USB with a bay unit package. The release date is is still undetermined, however I can say it will be about 6-8 weeks away. Some of the advantages with the USB version is that it will have 6 temperature probe connectors and 4 high powered fan connectors as the serial version will not. The USB version has a connector package that easily connects our indicator LED bus which may be a nice addition with very little effort. For the more advanced user, it even has the ability to communicate via serial at TTL levels. If you have any further specific questions, feel free to post!! :D
