Indicator LED specs?

I just got the Indicator LED panel for the MX2 series, but the super-bright blue LEDs aren't quite my cup of tea. I'm reasonably certain I can remove them and solder in new ones, but I want to check first to make sure there isn't anything special I need to know. They look like 5mm LEDs. Will any old 5mm LEDs work in their place?

Yes, any 5mm LED's will work...! :D
