Is my MX 2 broken? (Dark Types)

please excuse for my bad english - i came from germany.

hi,

i have the mx2. it runs the whole time very well, however the types (fonts) are very dark since short time. i have the blue backlight/ white types (fonts) version. i have reinstall LCDC and changed the usb-port but the fonts are still the same color like the backlight - the lcd works, only the fonts are very bad to recognize - the shine is weakly :-/

i have allready looked in the lcdc software to set up the contrast but the types dont react (the backlight react and shine well but the types have nearly the same colour).

what can i do? is it broken?

Tru dropping the contrast DOWN to 35% or so, the inverse displays work backwards to normal displays for the contrast :)

hi,

maybe i formulate it pedantically.

when i put the usb-connector in the usb-socket the lcd going on and i can read the matrix oribtal - but it is very dark (not white!) - when i start the LCDC software it remains dark - when i set to 35 % or lower it don't react :-/

at noon today the lcd works well and now the types are dark.

Hello...

Does the unit respond correctly, other than responding to contrast...i.e. send text, backlight intensity, etc...?

Hi,

the LCD works! All Plug-ins works (Winamp, Temp etc.). The Types are without pixel error or so - only the brightness of the fonts (pixel, fonts) are very dark - the backlight is normal - the lcdc software can steer the backlight correctly - only the types dont react. please help me.

With your eCD comes a program called DisplayTuner.exe...Can you try running that and attempt to change the contrast up/down...let me know how you make out...

Moving the controller tab left and right on the contrast menu doesn't change it at all...?

From the experiments we have done, the problem has been narrowed to the contrast circuit. Did you have anything else connected to the LCD...?

oh that's is! i have connected the triple led indikator and the ntc-sensor - but the lcd works well - some hours later it happened that the contrast goes so darker - i think it could be a short-circuit (i don't know the right word - i mean a electric collision) is the lcd now damaged?

Did you by any chance connect the indicator on backwards to the display?

yes it could be happend so
'cause the leds didn't shine

is there any hope for mine mx-2-usb?

the "broken-contrast" could be caused by the twisted-installed led-indicator?
